Leaves Literary Festival 2016

On Friday 11th November Roundwood House, Mountrath, Co Laois, is the venue for an intimate evening of music and spoken word with writers Peter Fallon, Vona Groarke and Eoin Mc Namee to be joined by musician Colm Mac Con Iomaire. This event will be hosted in the recently opened library in Roundwood House. MC for the evening is Seamus Hosey Tickets €25
All events on Saturday 12th November will we held in the Dunamamise Arts Centre. A poetry workshop for adults from 10.30am-1pm to be conducted by Mary Ó Donnell. Tickets €15
A book launch will take place at 3pm in the Dunamaise Arts Centre. ‘Cold Coffee at Emo Court’ by Arthur Broomfield, followed by an Open Mic event (Registration at 2pm) Free entry and a prize for the most compelling performer 2016 – Prize is a weeks residency in Laois Arthouse, Stradbally – terms and conditions apply – can be viewed in advance.
At 8.00pm in the Dunamaise Arts Centre, we have a Crime Fiction Night Featuring Louise Philips, Niamh O’Connor, Andrea Carter and Thomas Enger with music by saxophonist Rachel Clancy. MC is Radio One presenter, Sean Rocks Tickets: €15 and groups of 6 or more €12
In addition the Dunamaise Arts Centre are hosting ‘Finding Frankie’, by Maeve Binchy on Thursday 9th November
and a wonderful Concert completes the festival with Anneleen Lenaerts and Dionysis Grammenos on Sunday 13th November in St Peter’s Church of Ireland, Portlaoise. Harpist/Flute ensemble. tickets €12/€15
