Parking Bye Laws


Parking Areas and Car Park Bye-Laws 2007 – Mountmellick

Road Traffic Acts 1961 to 2004

In accordance with the above legislation and in particular Section 36 of the Road Traffic Act 1994, notice is hereby given that Laois County Council intends to introduce Parking Areas and Car Park Bye-Laws for the town of Mountmellick.

A copy of the draft bye-laws referred to above are available for inspection for one month from Thursday 9th August 2007 at the Mountmellick Area Office, Courthouse, O’Moore Street, Mountmellick, Co. Laois during normal opening hours.  A copy of the draft Bye-Laws may also be purchased.

Office Hours:  Monday – Friday 9. 00 a.m. – 5.00 p.m.

Submissions or observations with respect to the draft bye-laws may be made in writing to the Administrative Officer, Roads Department, Aras An Chontae, JFL Avenue, Portlaoise, Co. Laois to be received no later than 5.00 p.m. on Thursday 20th September, 2007.

Mountmellick Parking Areas & Car Park Bye-Laws 2011

In accordance with the above legislation and in particular Section 36 of the Road Traffic Act 1994, notice is hereby given that Laois County Council intends to amend its Parking Areas and Car Park Bye-Laws with the provision of an uncontrolled pedestrian crossing at O’Moore Street, Mountmellick.

A Drawing of the crossing referred to above is available for inspection for one month from Monday 3rd October on this page and also at the following locations during normal office hours:
Mountmellick Area Office, O’Moore Street, Mountmellick
Aras an Chontae, JFL Ave., Portlaoise

Submissions or observations with respect to the draft Drawing may be made in writing to the Administrative Officer, Roads Department, Aras an Chontae, JFL Avenue, Portlaoise, Co. Laois to be received no later than 4.00 pm on Friday 11th November, 2011.

Parking Areas and Car Park Bye-Laws 2009 – Mountmellick & Portarlington

In accordance with the above legislation and in particular Section 36 of the Road Traffic Act 1994 and Section 84 (as substituted by Section 15 of the Road Traffic Act, 2002) of the Road Traffic Act 1961, notice is hereby given that Laois County Council has adopted the above Bye-Laws at their Meeting held on 25th January 2010.
Copies of the said bye-laws are available for inspection at Laois County Council, Áras an Chontae, Portlaoise during normal office hours 9.00am – 5.00pm   Monday to Friday.
Copies may also be purchased for a fee of €10.00.

 

Appointed Stands (Taxi Ranks)Bye-Laws, Rathdowney 2010

In accordance with Section 84 of the Road Traffic Act 1961, as substituted by Section 15 of the Road Traffic Act 2002, notice is hereby given that Laois County Council intends to make bye-laws in respect of the Appointed Stands (Taxi Ranks) in Rathdowney.

A copy of the draft bye-laws referred to above are available for inspection for one month from Thursday 23rd September 2010 at Aras an Chontae, Portlaoise Co. Laois and at Rathdowney Area Office, The Old Barracks, The Square, Rathdowney during normal opening hours.  A copy of the draft Bye-Laws may also be purchased.

Submissions or observations with respect to the draft bye-laws may be made in writing to the Administrative Officer, Roads Department, Aras an Chontae, JFL Avenue, Portlaoise, Co. Laois to be received no later than 5.00 p.m. on Thursday 4th November, 2010.
